Beginning of SAAR

The alumni association (SAAR) was established as early as December, 2009. During its earlier period of formation, it continued in a somewhat informal manner but now its a systematized body. Earlier the mechanism for handling alumni affairs was not institutionalized and was running on ad-hoc basis but through the efforts of some enthusiast Training & Placement Officers and alumni, it became a success. Inspired by the vision of Mr. PK Gupta, Chairman- SGI and Mr. YK Gupta, Vice-Chairman-SGI, who believed that alumni are our goodwill ambassadors and we must develop and institutionalize the system for continuous interaction with our alumni, Central Alumni and Corporate Relations cell (CACRC) was formed. Since inception, CACRC has focused on associating SGI alumni with their alma-mater through various goodwill strategies and activities. Thus, rejuvenating alumni-alma mater bonds into strong and stable ties.
